Those Obama Mobiles that people wanted when the price of gas was really high do appear to be possible. GM is touting the Volt which would get 230 MPG.
VW will be offering a 200 MPG car in 2010.
But wait there's more, put your phasors on stun before you take a look at the Aptera which will net you up to 330 MPG.
Generally speaking hybrid cars get high mileage by relying a lot on electricity or other sources and just a little bit on gasoline.
Given that Marxists who now control the executive and legislative branches of government would dearly love to charge you $20 per gallon for your gas--after the next election. You should be looking into how to head them off at the pass and keep your personal freedom to go where you want when you want.
