The World's Most Annoying Website
June 14th 2009 01:14
Time Magazine's Sean Gregory claims that Tagged is the World's most annoying website. Read his long sad tell of woe.
I like Tagged myself. It's quick way to meet new friends or interact with existing ones. In order to make it an annoying as Sean Gregory says it is, you'd have to open up your contact list to it. I don't do that with any site. Maybe Mr Gregory is just the most annoying user on the Internet. He annoys his friends by giving away their email addresses to spambots.
Now amongst Time's 5 worst websites, I do find some offenders. I won't go to Eharmony because I find their commercials annoying. Besides, if I did need dates, there are plenty of free sites these days.
MySpace seems to be infested mostly with something I don't want to know much about so I don't.
Since I have a life I don't go on line searching for a SecondLife.
I took at look at their top 50 websites. Unfortunately it seems to be the top 50 sites from 2007. well I guess you can see how they have held up. I am not going through all 50 though.
I have been to Chow but I think you have to be a real foodie to stick with it.
Redfin looks like a decent way to look for a house.
Many, many sites I have never heard of but then I don't do file exchanges and I don't watch TV on the computer. That's what a TV is for...
A lot of trendy eco sites if you want to save the earth and such.
Some very dated political stuff if you want to take a trip down memory lane. This top 50 sites of 2007 may qualify for a worst of since many of the political resources won't be interesting again until 2010 at the earliest.
