Bert and Ernie are not Gay!!!

The only thing that was more shocking than the fact that Bert and Ernie will not marry is that they are not Gay. Apparently they are muppets have no reproductive organs and thus no way in which to share intimacy.

Sesame Street has announced that though the two will remain roommates, they will continue to sleep in separate beds.
