BioFuels Worse for the Environment than Fossil Fuels

BioFuels like Biodesel Worse are for the Environment than Fossil Fuels.
It has been reported in Scientific American that a study done by the European Union on proposed expansion of the use of biologically based fuels shows they would have a significantly worse impact on the environment than fossil fuels.
If anyone had given almost any of the currently proposed biologically based fuels more than 5 minutes of serious thought, it would have been obvious that they have to produce more pollution than fossil fuels. Natural gas for instance comes out of the ground ready to use. Any crop that is proposed as fuel must be planted, cultivated, weeded, transported harvested and then processed then transformed into usable energy.
Some of the plans to use natural processes like algae or cellulose based fuels may hold promise if they can be grown on a massive scale with little or no input of energy. What would be needed for biologically based fuels is something like energy acorns that grow wild and fall from the trees exuding the oils need for energy. As a wild crop that has little current use such a mythical energy acorn would not affect world food prices or availability and would not take arable land out of production for food.
You will know when the energy hype types have gotten serious when they propose some common sense plans like: use fossil fuels for our present energy needs. Then transition to nuclear and after that transition to mature alternative energies. Anything else is based more on politics than science. The Green Weenies that push alternatives mostly just want to destroy capitalism and reduce the people of the United States to third world status. Almost anyone in the green energy movement who is not a Marxist is actually just a greedy capitalist who wants to funnel all the cash in the west into his pocket by getting carbon dioxide declared an environmental hazard and forcing us to pay him to work, live and breathe.
One of the most important lessons one can learn from studying the activities of people like Al Gore is: follow the money. For instance, Al Gore stands to make significant money form the carbon trading schemes he has proposed.
This same philosophy must be followed when considering biodiesel, wind power or solar energy. If the real intent was to lower carbon foot prints then that technology is already here. It’s called nuclear energy. Therefore Green Weenies must have ulterior motives…
