Apparently the US government is developing miniaturized robotic technology that could result in enemies of the government being swarmed and killed by electronic bugs.
Reminds me of a particularly nasty Sci Fi movie I saw once. In the end the robots were building robots. They built some robots that looked just like helpless children....

Hunter Killer Drones.
Once this is perfected the government will be able to kill anyone and leave no trace. Or worse, leave false traces that will make your friends think you were a drug addict, a pervert and a traitor. The fake evidence will seem true down to the molecular level.
