I can reach the fence in 3 Seconds. Can you?

Now that was an effective deterrent. When I saw a yard sign on a wooden fence in my neighborhood I had no desire to see what was behind that fence. They did not even have to have a dog. Just the threat of one was enough.
Contrast that the situation in North Korea. Instead of a deterrent we have Obama and the United Nations threatening to produced a reasoned response. And if North Korea ignores that and fires a missile we write a strongly worded letter detailing the depth of our disapproval. And if North Korea preforms an underground nuclear test we will hold our breath until we become unconscious. And if North Korea fires another missile we will run around in circles and call our mommies!
We are threatening to isolate an isolated regime. Gosh, that must really scare North Korea. Especially since the head of that regime is more than willing to let thousands starve whenever his feelings get hurt.
I am quite certain that Iran is taking notes on the nature of our "escalation."
If our threats aren't going to be credible, we should not make them. The biggest mistake Bush ever made was to go to next level, namely war, against a nation that did not threaten us: Iraq. Now we have some nations that actually do have nukes and they are real life threats and that idiot Bush has us tied up in two wars we can not get out of.
Given the hand that Obama has been dealt by Bush, maybe whining like a school child that the bully has taken our lunch money is the best he can do.
Wouldn't it be cool if we could knock down one of North Korea's missiles with star wars technology. But liberals don't believe in that technology so we have to live with the notion that one day soon North Korea or Iran might give some rogue terrorist a nuke.
Remove all sharp objects from your pockets and prepare to kiss something the terrorists don't like good bye.
