Eating Cocaine
December 21st 2011 11:45
There has been a story out about how one man inserted some cocaine inside himself to smuggle it and what he did when he and his brother where caught. The cocaine carrier instructed his brother to eat the cocaine.
It is not at all clear how the cocaine eater managed the process of eating the cocaine from his brother's behind but he did. And then he promptly died.
There are some rather famous cases, one involving a Member or Parliament, wherein a hapless fellow was instructed to eat some white powder found on his person by police. After all, if it was coffee flavoring like the MP said, it would not kill him. The MP lived so it was not cocaine.
There must be some moral to this story but I will be darned if I really know what it is. Butt kills. Cocaine kills. Drugs kill.
I suppose the real moral is never mess with the government monopoly on the drug trade. After all, you know that government has been bribed by drug thugs and everyone from policemen to high government officials are getting their cut. If this was not so, the drug trade would have been stopped long ago.
Think of it this way. Have you, yourself ever seen, up close and personal cocaine or heroin? I haven't. Think of all the things you have seen up close and personal. So dangerous and addictive drugs are, or so we are told, ubiquitous, but unless you are a policeman, a user or dealer, you probably have never seen the drugs people kill one another for in person. The government regulates things that are more abundant than drugs all the time. Given that drugs are relatively smaller and therefore not has hard to count or track, that and they have distinctive properties that can be tracked by dogs and sniffing machines using only trace amounts, you know government could do a much better job of closing down the drug trade if they really wanted to. This is why for instance, the border between the United States and Mexico will never be shut down to illegal aliens and drug thugs. Too many cops and politicians are getting paid.
If you look even harder at the drug trade it gets even clearer that someone is allowing it to go on. Drugs are smuggled into prisons every day. If the government can't control a prison it's because they aren't trying.
New drug addicts are created in the schools every day. Kids cannot go anywhere any time they want. Many have their movements about as restricted as prisoners do. Again, if anyone really wanted to keep drugs away from the kids they could.
Highly paid actors and lawyers seem to be caught with drugs all the time. Notice the restricted subset of people. If the authorities desired to do so they could control drugs simply by tracking how that famous 1% gets their hands on drugs. The rest of us don't have the disposable income to support a really serious drug habit. Only the 1% do.
So again you come to the conclusion that for a relatively small outlay of funds, drug cops could concentrate on a relatively small number of people and close done the drug trade. Why don't they?
