Fired before you’re Hired

I had cleared the last hurdle for a job as an IT cipher for administrative offices of a nationwide restaurant chain. I had brushed up on some technologies that were not necessarily my forte, I had passed phone, in person, and tech interviews. Weeks after they told me I had the job they pulled it back and went with somebody in house. Little did I know that others were suffering this fate:
