Glenn Beck Recommends the Road to Serfdom by F. A. Hayek

There is an axiom that states that the more centralized a system becomes the more prone to failure it is. After all, if you put an entire nation on a power grid and feed that grid from a few centralized points, then collapsing that power grid is logistically simple. You only need to eliminate a few grid points to bring everything down.
This principle can apply to anything from traffic control to power grids, to food growing and distributing food to government. Remember the potato famine in Ireland? If you have a single food source then a single infestation or disease can kill millions.
F. A. Hayek’s thesis is that centrally planned economies, whether from the left or the right will lead to the people becoming serfs. When you look at the smart power grid that Chairman Barack Hussein Obama wants to put in your house, it is clear that the United States is becoming a centrally planned economy.
