Katrina 5 Years after: What have we Learned?

August 29th 2010 17:37

If you make of your government a God and your political leaders into Messiahs, don’t be surprised to find your self locked into a bathroom at gun point with nothing but broken toilets for 72 hours. Kinda of like those folks who were trapped in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

Complete dependence on government for your welfare at any time for any reason can come at a very steep price. Their priorities are not your priorities.

Airlines are not even governmental bodies but they argued in favor of trapping you on an airport tarmac for a dozen hours with broken toilets if it happened to suit their business needs. Government can afford to be even more ruthless–they have guns.
