Show me your Pickle Pits

Apparently in the Fiji Islands, if you want to marry a girl her parents will ask to you see your pickle first. Well at least the pits where you make your pickles. On a tropical Island before refrigeration became more wide spread, the ability to preserve food through a method such as pickling was highly prized and could get you in good with the ladies.


Getting Pickled

Beware for there are dangerous, violent pickles among us. Pushing the pickle button is a euphemism for dropping a bomb from an airplane.
