American Politicians Refuse to Read

Yet another politician, Sen. Thomas Carper has stated flatly that he will not read the legislation he votes on and that any senator that says he does read the bills is a stranger to the truth.
At times like these one can only resort to Mark Twain:

It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native American criminal class except Congress.

To stay in a literary vein, congress is clearly a Parliament of Whore set sail in a Ship of Fools.
Congressman John Conyers also refuses to read what he votes on.
It is not enough to call congress our only indigenous criminal class. They are not merely ignorant. They are criminally and willfully stupid.
A child could figure out that if what you are signing your name to is too difficult to understand and if your only job in life is to vote on legislation, it should be your goal in life to make that legislation, brief, simple, coherent and correct. You should want to read every word!
No wonder the whole world almost went bankrupt whilst these circus clowns were simultaneously playing back seat driver and referee. If the rest of the nations of the world ever figure out that the reason why the whole world entered a recession is that our politicians on the left and the right never read what they sign their names too...
