90% Starvation
June 15th 2009 20:16
I don't know about you, but upon listening to the Yes We Can Obama types I got the feeling that the plan was to replace our entire energy infrastructure with green and renewable sources by the end of Obama's 8th year in office. If that was the plan and if businesses and individuals relied on that plan then according the National Resources Council, by 2020, if we all worked real hard, 10% of our electrical energy would come from renewable resources of all types.
10%? Then what are the rest of us supposed to do, freeze and starve?
All politicians oversell the promise and undersell the risks involved with their plans. It would appear that Obama has sold us a bill of goods on green and renewable energy. Well, at least he didn't get us into an illegal war like Bush did. And at least we are getting plenty of notice about the difference between what President Obama promises and what he could actually deliver.
For those who are not clear on the ramifications consider the following. The Obama administration plans to implement cap and trade on American industry and to regulate and tax every thing that burns fossil fuel in the economy. Given that we are already in a recession, if these restraints on the economy are improperly applied, we could be doomed to see what the inside of a depression looks like. Couple that with the fact that congress and the administration have plans to run up trillion dollar deficits every year for the next decade. All this printing of money will generate enormous inflation on top of a government caused depression. Third would status could look good at that point. We could be looking up at the gutter.
One way or the other I am convinced that we are headed for the Euro-Socialism model because the majority of the voting public wants it. I see $10 per gallon gasoline in our future and in effect no health care for anyone over 50. If you have to wait to be treated until you die, it's like not be treated at all. Well, at least we will all be equal.
