Who is Gadhafi Handing out 1 Million Guns to?

If a popular uprising consisting of the bulk of Libya’s people is happening now, who is Moammar Gadhafi handing out a million guns to? How does he know they won’t point those million guns back at him? Who is fighting for Gahdafi? Are we to believe they are mercenaries only?
I am not saying that Libya is other than what the news media tells us because I am not on the ground and don’t know but I do wonder if we should be getting in that mess.
9/11 Truther Alex Jones, almost always says that the government of the United States is conspiring with global tyrannical forces to do bad things. Like a broken clock, could Alex Jones be right twice a day? Could this UN aggression against Libya be something other than it appears? Who knows?
