They pulled out his hair
And dragged it away
And he cried tears of ice.
They pulled out his bones
And dragged them away
And the tears of ice pooled
And became waterfalls of ice.
They pulled off his face
And dragged it away
And he was no more
And the road was widened.

Good Snuggling Weather
Frozen water falls and tears of ice as the late but unlamented early winter goes away.
In northern climes real winter is coming soon and if it is North enough people will walk on frozen streams.
Icicles dangling from roofs and power lines.
Looking almost like some all too sweet confection
that you could lick and receive some guilty pleasure.
It is good snuggling weather.
A good season to discover a lover’s skin
and to plant kisses there
that will bloom now and not wait till Spring…

snow on the desert?
surely an abomination
It is called the black and white desert and it is in Egypt
a dusting of sugar on desert sands
wandering in the golden desert toward the white hills
