You Car Will Kill You.

I was looking at the news that future cars will shut off while we are idling at a traffic light and it hit me.
One day our cars will kill us.
But maybe not in the way you think.
Suppose it is a brutally hot day or a sub zero cold day and the car cuts out to "save energy." If you are stranded somewhere and you can't or don't want to move the car and it is set up to turn off when idling you might freeze to death because you can't keep the heater on when it's freezing outside.
Or you may have to abandon the car on a scorching hot day and go wandering in the desert until you die because you can't keep the A/C on while the immobile car is not moving.
There are other ways your car may be plotting to kill you.
One day your car will have a self parking mechanism that will park the car quickly and efficiently. You will program the car to avoid things as short as three feet tall so that you don't run into little kids. But the car won't see or even recognize anything shorter than that.
Your first clue was when the car parked on top of Fluffly, the neighbor cat.
Well, that was your last clue actually. When getting something you forgot out of the trunk or passenger side you slipped on some ice and fell. You have fallen and can't get up. The car, for safety reasons, parks itself after being left in an awkward position for an extended period of time. So it parked. Right on top of you....
